About Me

Emily is a dedicated and energetic speech-language pathologist with 10 years of experience in pediatric speech therapy. With a primary focus on pragmatic and social skills development, Emily strives to empower children and families to achieve their fullest potential. She is passionate about treating children of all abilities and seeing the whole child – ensuring that all critical developmental areas are being addressed.

Emily earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from West Virginia University. She holds certifications as an NC licensed speech language pathologist and through ASHA as a CCC-SLP. She has training in Learning Style Profiles for Autism Spectrum Disorders and Social Thinking curriculum. She is deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged to thrive.

Emily has worked with a wide range of clients from birth into adulthood, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down Syndrome, congenital abnormalities, Cerebral Palsy, social language disorders, language delays, speech sound disorders, language disorders, fluency disorders, feeding difficulties and other developmental delays and takes a holistic, family-centered approach to therapy. She believes in the power of collaboration and enjoys working closely with families to ensure long-term success.

Outside of Work

When Emily isn’t working with families, she enjoys catching up on reality TV shows, going for long walks, attending live shows, trying out new recipes and spending time with her husband and son.
