Jessica Cornman DPT, physical therapist at the Pineville office of Child and Family Development, enjoys helping kids, teens and young adults prepare and recover from orthopedic procedures. Her work experience in various hospital settings has fostered services here in our private offices.

Since moving to Charlotte, Jessica has established herself as an experienced and caring practitioner and developed rapport with surgeons and other providers.  Recently, she observed an OrthoCarolina surgeon who specializes in pediatrics.  She shares her experience:

As a physical therapist, I have always had a strong desire to have a deeper understanding of the surgical procedures my patient‚Äôs undergo.  I feel that understanding the procedure fully helps me to better treat the patient and understand why they present the way they do.  I also feel if allows me to better explain why they are presenting in a certain manner to the family.  I was recently given the opportunity to observe a posterior spinal fusion for a patient with scoliosis.  The surgeon took the time to explain the procedure step by step during the surgery which has really given me a much more detailed understanding of what my patient‚Äôs are dealing with post-operatively.

Jessica offers evaluations and physical therapy for conditions related to orthopedic care.
