I recently had the opportunity to attend a presentation given by Laurie Dietzel, co-author of Late, Lost & Unprepared: A Parent’s Guide to Helping Children with Executive Functioning.  If you are the teacher or parent of a child that just can’t seem to get organized, you have felt the frustration of all that comes with the day to day routine.  Students themselves often express their frustration when they can’t seem to get it together.  This book is worth the read.  I like it because it isn’t too technical and provides some real life examples.  The strategies suggested may need to be adjusted based on the child’s specific needs, but overall this book provides some solid ideas for families to try.
