About Me

Melinda is a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience supporting children with communication differences. She has worked across a wide range of settings, including in-home and community-based services, hospital outpatient clinics, the NICU, and multidisciplinary clinical environments.

Melinda earned her Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University, with a specialization in the birth to kindergarten population. She has extensive experience supporting children with autism, motor speech disorders (including childhood apraxia of speech), language delays and disorders, and children who use alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

Melinda provides child-led, neuro-affirming therapy using a whole child approach that builds on each child’s unique strengths, interests, and developmental needs to support meaningful communication. She strongly values caregiver involvement and believes collaboration with families and interdisciplinary providers is essential to a child’s success.
