About Me

Marium is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who works with children, adolescents, adults, and families to process life events. Marium specializes in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, Sandtray therapy, and has a passion for working with clients and families who have experienced trauma. Additionally, Marium works closely with parents to strengthen their relationship with their children and often works with adults to pursue their own goals for health and happiness.

Her therapeutic style is client-centered, nondirective, and energetic. Using a variety of strategies and techniques, Marium works create a treatment plan that is suitable for the client’s unique personality and needs. Ultimately, Marium’s goals for therapy is to build a strong therapeutic relationship that fosters a safe space for children and adults to express their needs and work toward healing.

Marium earned her master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of North Texas (UNT) and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counseling from UNT as well. Marium has specialized training working with all ages, from 3 to adults, with trauma, experiences with domestic violence and sexual abuse, educational difficulties, and those experiencing life transitions.

Outside of Work

When she’s not working with families, Marium enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs, and cat. She loves reading, listening to podcasts, attending concerts and movies, and creating memories with her friends and family!
