Lisa Peterson is a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist with over 26 years of experience working with children and young adults from birth through 21 years of age. She is committed to supporting children’s communication needs through a whole-child, strengths-based approach that considers academic, social, and emotional development.

Lisa earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from UNC-Chapel Hill and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She also holds two undergraduate degrees in Education and Communication Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, allowing her to thoughtfully integrate classroom expectations, curriculum demands, and communication development into her therapeutic approach.

Lisa has worked extensively with children with a wide range of needs, including speech sound disorders, phonological processing disorders, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, learning disabilities, ADHD, and auditory processing disorders. She brings a deep understanding of how communication challenges impact children across settings and is dedicated to addressing each child’s needs holistically.

Collaboration is central to Lisa’s practice. She enjoys working closely with teachers and parents to ensure skills learned in therapy are carried over into the classroom, home, and community.
