About Me
Lima is a caring and devoted Educational Specialist with over 4 years of experience in teaching. With a focus on the Orton-Gillingham methodology and providing individualized instruction for students in grades K-8, Lima cultivates an environment where every child can reach their individualized goals.
Lima earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education (K-12) with a minor in Child and Family Development (Birth-K) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is certified to teach the Orton-Gillingham approach and holds her North Carolina Teaching Licensure as a highly qualified teacher. She is deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and encouraged to thrive.
Lima has worked with a wide range of clients, including those with Specific Learning Disorders (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia), Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Intellectual Disabilities while taking a holistic, family-centered approach to therapy. She is committed to a collaborative, family-centered approach and values long term relationships with her families.

Outside of Work
When Lima isn’t working with families, she enjoys attending her book club, traveling the world and cooking new dishes. She is also passionate about inclusive education and advocacy for children’s rights.
