About Me
With over 10 years of experience working with families and children, Chelle brings an energetic, compassionate approach to child development. She focuses on play-based early intervention, and enjoys working with clients across settings, including in homes and preschools. With a passion for advocacy and stakeholder empowerment, she is especially committed to advancing neuro-affirming care for young Autistic children.
Chelle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Vanderbilt University. She holds certifications as a NC Licensed Behavior Analyst, and formerly, as a certified PreK-Grade 2 Special Education Teacher.
Chelle most frequently works with families of Autistic children but also consults regarding children with Emotional-Behavioral Disorders and developmental delays. She’ll tell you collaboration is a non-negotiable, and can be found yapping away to her co-workers about the incredible progress our kids are making! She particularly enjoys caregiver-mediated intervention, and believes the best teachers are parents and family members.

Outside of Work
When Chelle isn’t working, she enjoys cooking and baking (ask about her C&FD famous cookies), reading, and traveling (Thailand is next on her bucket list!). Her ideal day involves a long stroll down every aisle of Publix, a seasonal latte, and spending time with her husband, and two children - Miles and Caroline.
