About Me

Amontae is a positive, passionate, and skilled occupational therapist dedicated to supporting children and their families in reaching their goals and improving overall functioning within daily routines. She values working with both children and their families, recognizing the importance of collaboration and connection in helping each child succeed.

Amontae takes pride in implementing evidence-based interventions that support development and promote independence in everyday tasks. She creates a positive and engaging environment where children feel encouraged to participate, build confidence, and have fun. It
truly warms her heart to see children smile and enjoy therapeutic activities while making meaningful progress.

She believes it is a wonderful honor to support families at Child & Family Development and strives to create meaningful, lasting change in the lives of those she serves.

Amontae earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Mary Baldwin University. She completed her undergraduate degree in Parks and Recreation Management, with a concentration in Recreation Therapy, at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

She has experience working with children with a wide range of abilities and needs, including developmental delays, autism, emotional regulation challenges, ADHD, and sensory-based feeding difficulties. She is passionate about meeting each child where they are and building the foundational skills needed to help them reach their full potential.

Experience

In practice since 2022, joined C&FD in 2026.

Outside of Work

When she’s not working with families, Amontae enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking her dogs for walks, and traveling. She believes that with the right support, skilled intervention, and motivation, the sky is the limit for every child she treats.
