From Stakeholder to Provider

From Stakeholder to Provider

My passion for education and ABA is deeply rooted in both personal experience and professional growth. Growing up with an incredible younger brother who was diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, I witnessed firsthand the impact that dedicated support, evidence-based interventions, and strong family advocacy can have on an individual’s development and quality of life.

Throughout his childhood, I observed the challenges he faced as well as the incredible progress he made. From overcoming sensory sensitivities that affected daily routines to participating in sports, earning the rank of Eagle Scout, and successfully transitioning to college, his journey demonstrated the power of individualized support and meaningful collaboration between families, educators, and therapists.

These experiences inspired me to pursue a career dedicated to helping individuals reach their fullest potential. My time as a kindergarten teacher is where I developed a strong foundation in supporting diverse learners and creating individualized learning experiences. Seeking to further expand my skills, I became an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), gaining direct experience implementing behavior-analytic interventions and supporting skill acquisition across a variety of settings. Most recently, I have completed my Master’s degree in Special Education, with an ABA concentration, which has allowed me to further refine my clinical knowledge and practice.

My personal and professional experiences have shaped the therapist I am today. Having witnessed the journey of a family member, I understand the importance of building strong partnerships with caregivers, celebrating meaningful progress, and recognizing that every achievement, whether large or small, represents hard work and dedication. This perspective helps me approach each client and family with empathy, patience, and respect for their unique experiences. As a provider, I strive to combine evidence-based practices with a compassionate, individualized approach. My goal is not only to teach skills and promote independence but also to empower families and create meaningful, lasting outcomes that extend beyond therapy sessions…just as I have experienced firsthand from my brother’s providers.

If you have questions about your child’s development, behavior, or whether ABA therapy may be appropriate, we invite you to schedule a free phone consultation with one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Every child and family is unique, and sometimes a simple conversation can provide clarity, guidance, and peace of mind. Whether you’re just beginning to explore services or looking for additional support, we’re here to listen, answer your questions, and help you determine the next best step for your family.
