Occupational therapist, Kim Toomer completes nuerodevelopmental training

Kim Toomer MS OTR/L, an occupational therapist at the Pineville office of Child and Family Development, recently completed training in the Assessment and Treatment of Pediatric Neurodevelopmental Disorders from Summit Education. 

The course teaches techniques to complete a developmental analysis and identify neuromotor impairments in infants and young children, as well as strategies for a therapist, parent and caregiver to use in intervention and everyday routines.

Kim shares, ‚ÄúThis class provided information I will use on a daily basis in occupational therapy sessions. I have more strategies to identify and treat neuromotor impairments infants and young children.”
