Paul Smolen MD is a Charlotte pediatrician at Providence Pediatrics, podcaster and author. 

‚ÄúDoc Smo‚Äù will share practical parenting advice from his latest book, Can Doesn’t Mean Should: Essential Knowledge for 21st Century Parents.  Topics will include nutrition, screen time, money, academics, play and more.

For the last 33 years, “Dr. Smo” has been an Adjunct Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill as well as a pediatrician in Charlotte. He is a bona-fide expert is knowing what parents want and need to know about parenting and child health and firmly believes “An informed parent is a great parent.”
