Ellen Bruce, MS OTR/L, occupational therapist, returns to a regular schedule at Child and Family Development Midtown office!

Ellen has worked at C&FD since 2007, most recently helping out on an as needed basis during leaves and changes.

Here’s the latest from her:

“I am passionately committed to evaluating and treating the whole child and family with holistic approaches to find evidence-based and practical solutions that promote progress, independence and growth. I have extensive experience working with children with varied diagnoses including but not limited to: ADHD, arthrogryposis, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, dyspraxia, Developmental Coordination Disorder, fine motor delays, mitochondrial disease, sensory processing disorder, stroke and visual motor deficits. I have a special interest in sensory and motor based feeding issues and am a trained provider of the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach‚Ñ¢ (SOS) to Feeding. I am also trained in Neurodevelopmental Treatment‚Ñ¢ (NDT) techniques.

My husband and I have been married for 10 years and have loved raising our family of 5 in the Charlotte area. My husband is a pastor at Elevation Church in Uptown Charlotte, and our three kids keep us busy, as we often say, with full hands and full hearts. As a family we enjoy doing anything outside and exploring and serving our city. I am a bookworm at heart, so can often be found reading my own book or with one (or all!) of my kids in my lap reading to them!”

Welcome Back Ellen!
