Getting Started

Welcome, we are glad you're here!

We appreciate your interest in Child & Family Development and for taking the time to learn about us.

The Intake is the first appointment. The purpose of the Intake is to gather a detailed history of your child. This information is used to determine the evaluation or treatment recommendations.

When testing is recommended, we customize the evaluation process. Testing sessions are scheduled and may vary based on your child’s age and the reason for the evaluation.

Evaluations conclude with an Interpretive Parent Conference (IPC). This is a separate appointment that outlines the outcome of the overall evaluation. During the IPC, testing results are explained and recommendations/ goals are discussed with the parents.

Following the IPC, a written report is provided. The report is a compilation of all the information provided during the Intake, testing and Interpretive Parent Conference.

Fees vary for each service and are often impacted by managed care contracts and benefit limitations. A Resource Fee is charged for all evaluations. The fee allows us to provide copies of the evaluation to you and the other professionals with your written consent.
