I am a North Carolina licensed physical therapist and certified by the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute.
I knew I wanted to work with children even before I knew I wanted to be a physical therapist, because children have a drive to succeed no matter what their circumstances. I love the positivity and determination that children have to obtain a goal because they don’t know that they “can’t” do something…they just find another way! I see my role in their life as someone to guide them along the way and show them different ways to try something until we find the best fit for them. All children are different in how they move along their own path, but if I can make the experience fun, easier and a little more enjoyable, I know I have succeeded in my role.
I have worked with children in home health, outpatient and school settings in Connecticut and North Carolina, and have specialized in working with babies born prematurely, medically fragile children, gait training, kinesiotaping, aquatic therapy and craniosacral therapy. I enjoy working with children of all ages and figuring out how to incorporate our therapy activities into their daily life at home and school to make them most successful.
