Recently, Megan Bevington, MS, OTR/L, occupational therapist at the Midtown office of Child and Family Development, attended a continuing education course for “Blending NDT and Modified CIMT Interventions to Enhance Function for Children with Hemiplegic CP”, hosted by the NDTA.
Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and modified Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (mCIMT) focus on active practice to optimize function.
Megan learned more about incorporating NDT strategies into a modified CIMT intervention to support fine and gross motor function for children diagnosed with hemiplegic CP and has used the expanded training with many of her pediatric therapy clients.
