I am a North Carolina licensed and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist.
I have clinical experience in pediatric outpatient, home-based, and daycare settings. During my graduate coursework, I conducted additional research in the area of early childhood language development related to the emergence of early word-learning strategies. I enjoy working with children of all ages and a variety of disabilities. My special interests are early language development, language disorders, literacy and feeding disorders. I support utilizing a hybrid of natural and explicit teaching methods to target specific outcomes. I view parent involvement and collaboration with other professionals as essential in the treatment process. I am certified in The Hanen Program© It Takes Two To Talk, a family-focused early language intervention for kids with language disorders. In addition, I am trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory™ (SOS) approach to feeding disorders.
