Interactive Metronome: This computer based program stimulates learning and development. It trains the brain to plan, sequence and process information and has been shown to improve attention, coordination and timing for people with difficulites in these areas as well as athletes and performers. Typically, IM consists of 15 one-hour sessions which can be completed in just 3 to 5 weeks. It is available at both office locations. Gail Fennimore, Amy Sturkey and Marion Wilm are certified IM providers.
Social Skills Groups for Girls: This group led by a psychologist, Annada Hypes at the South Charlotte office. This Group offers a fun, interactive way for girls to build strengths in a safe setting. Topics will include friendships, communication, bullying, and social intelligence, among others. Currently, groups are held on an every other week basis on Tuesday or Thursday from 4-5 p.m. Families may pay privately or use insurance benefits.
