Our Mission

Psychology

Psychologists have always played a critical role in the evaluation process at Child and Family Development. The professionals in this discipline have increased the treatment options for children and their families. Psychologists serve as lead clinicians in the psychological-education evaluations that are a critical part of our diagnostic approach. The psychologist's role is to assess a child's cognitive and attention status as well as personality responses such as anxiety, depression, or anger.

In addition to evaluations, psychologists are involved in individual and group treatment. Individual options include psychotherapy, play therapy, and family counseling. Increasingly, we are offering group options that include social skills groups and parent support groups.

Parents of children ages 4-6 often inquire about testing for purposes of early admission to kindergarten, application to a private school, or for school readiness. At Child and Family Development we can accommodate all requests for Early Admissions Testing and IQ Testing.
